Default Traditional FSC -- Week 47

Thank Ellis (tradtiger) for this shot call. I like it.

This week's challenge is to hit closest to the center of a quarter-size spot drawn on a 9-1/4" cut-out of cardboard.

Only one shot is taken from 12 yards (8 for kids) while sitting, or on one knee.

The twist is this is an obstruction shot -- as so many are in real life -- and may require considerable cant of the bow, because you will shoot through the 9-1/4" holes cut out of a cardboard box, placed on a bucket at 5 yards from target face.

Measure from nearest shaft edge to center of spot.

For greater realism, you can place branches on either side of the holes in the box and on either side of the target cut out. Seems to add to the distracting effect.

If you use the BRANCHES, you will get a 1" bonus deduction from your original measurement.

BTW, easy to trace around a standard paper plate for cut-out pattern. Also, found it helpful to run a long piece of tape from one side of bucket over the box and down the other side of the bucket to secure box for leaning branches against it.

I needed a lot of cant. Visual distractions make shot seem trickier than it is. Competition is wide open. Mine was 4-13/16", minus an inch for using distractor branches, so Total = 3-13/16".

For fun, shot a second arrow at 3/4"...

Here's mine.
Couldn't find a box big enough, so I just used the paper plate, and the ladder for my frame & obstruction.

Nice, Rick! Lot of distraction going on with that ladder, which could also mess up an arrow. So, with the distraction subtraction, total of, say 19/32".
