Not sure if its accurate, but an electrical buddy told me they charge adound $3-4 sq/ft for new construction. Im not sure exactly what that included.

      Depends on what you want.

$3 is super cheap, and there are homes that are done for that price. If you want super deluxe, it could be $15

You could blow your whole budget on one light fixture.

Asking for a budget price is a very subjective thing. You need some specific parameters if you really want a dialed in price.

Thanks. Again, I'm just looking for a rough-in price - no fixtures - if that helps.

I think that would be the 3/4 sq ft range

That price was just wiring and install, doesnt include the fixtures from what I understood.

Just finished my house outside of Austin a few months ago. Electrical ran me about $3.75/SF for everything. This included temp power meter and install, rough in (and hook up to HVAC), can lights, switches, outlets, hook up, and trim out. Light fixtures where a separate cost, but the electricians hooked them up. It also ran a little extra for the city to drop a new power pole.
