Pretty sure he believed in the possibility of a supreme being. Still a very intellectual guy. I tried to read "brief history of time" and got stuck. That was 20 years ago so I should try again.

My brother doesn't believe he'll is for people but only for Satan and his demons. He thinks all of us will be on different levels of heaven.

If so I'll be stuck repairing sewage lift stations.

I cant see how a man who lived 50+ years after he was supposed to be dead could not believe in God.

Heís the guy that first made astrophysics something I could understand. A Brief History of Time was one of my favorite books.

Then he went a little wacky with his claim that there is an alternate universe that canít be observed or measured and thatís why we donít understand dark matter. I think maybe he should have just tried DMT instead.

As far as believing in God, all these scientists like Krauss, Tyson, and Hawking have critical errors in their beliefs. The have made God to be a finite idea that can be slowly chipped away at by scientific discovery. You canít chip away at the infinite, and they refuse to see that science is merely the language God gave us to use to learn about the gifts He gave us.

I hope Mr. Hawkin accepted Jesus Christ at the last moment before passing to the hereafter...But

Wouldn’t a “Christian” be neglecting his calling by not telling the truth of the matter from a Christian standpoint?

Ole Johnny44 didn’t beat around the bush, thats for sure.

That is “love” in its purest form.

Can you show me in any of Christ’s interactions where he professed a person’s condemnation to Hell? Are we not to be Christ-like, isn’t that the very literal definition of Christian?

I feel grieved when anyone passes and denies gift of salvation. Clearly Hawking was aware, he denied it publicly.

I have to agree. Stuff like this is what helps people to decide to be anti Christian.

Whether he believed or not is between him and God. I understand as Christians we are supposed to help guide people to Christ but that certainly ainít the way to do it.

Your directive was to show scripture "Can you show me in any of Christ’s interactions where he professed a person’s condemnation to Hell? Are we not to be Christ-like, isn’t that the very literal definition of Christian?"

Matthew 10:33
33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Stephen questioned God's existence, so to say he accepted Christ would just be way out there.

Its sad, but you cant smart your way into Heaven.

I personally disagree with this. It may be used as further justification of their rejection of Christ but I tell it like it is (as I know it). This debate is older than caliber debates by many years. I have read Playa’s responses and believe he is searching for a loophole. Sorry, I just don’t handle the Gospel (good news) with baby gloves and I don’t have great comments for those who mock the existence of a higher entity (God in my case).

he's provided some remarkable research regarding black holes. I think maybe you should google it...

now maybe he hasn't done anything as profound as reach pope and young status on texasbowhunter like you and I, but if you read up on some of his work, he did a little more than just think of stuff.
