    Acclimatizing Camera

Now that we are finally getting some cold weather what is the best way to acclimatize your camera so that it does not fog up or sweat?

Stuff a bunch of those silica gel packs into your camera bag and make sure you let the camera cool down from inside to outside inside the bag before turning the camera on. I typically keep my camera/lenses in my bag and let them cool down well before sunrise before I pull them out and hit the power switch. It's the same thing during the summer, cool - heat, when I'm rolling with A/C on and jump out with my gear in the heat....especially along the coast in high humidity.

The silica gel packs are cheap and you can heat them up to 300 deg, in an oven, to recharge them (disperses the captured H2O).
