Went and checked out the final product this morning as I had to leave for work before they were done and my wife worked all day yesterday. Looks good. Nice and smooth and everything went where it was supposed to plumbing wise. Just have to have dirt guys come back and take away some dirt from the sides of the slab to accommodate installing the wood porches, which we've decided to let Satterwhite do themselves along with the house. Finally starting to come together.

Quick update. Dirt guy is coming to remove remaining dirt from sides of slab for the porches in the morning. Once this is done we will be totally ready for Satterwhite to show up!

Everything is ready to go and waiting on Satterwhite. I just wanted to go ahead and get an update for everyone. I got a call last week and they will be up in about 30 to 40 days from now start on the house. Apparently they got backed up with bad weather in places they are building currently.

Any plumbers out there? Got a couple questions. How much money would I save on labor if I plumbed my house myself?

Finished the dirt work yesterday to accommodate the wooden porches. We ended up doing the dirt work ourselves which saved us some money anyway. I got a call from Sam Satterwhite himself this week letting us know they will be ready to go the first of March. Definitely ready to get this thing going!!

They will get the logs up quick once they start. Make sure you have porches on all sides. By looking at the plans,I think you already have but couldn't tell for sure. It will save a lot on maintenance on the logs. I had to add a porch on the west side of ours due to the sun on that side.

Yes we have 360 degree porches.

It was a modified plan based on one of their plans. They are not pre cut kits. They cut the logs on site.
