                    I judge axis by the backstrap width! They make awesome boudin too. Nothing better than axis steaks, beer, and watching Sportsman Channel! Really wild Saturdays around our house. Ha

                      I say 28-29” range, joker has a big ole body on him for sure. If you shoot him or not depends on what your wanting to do, I wouldn’t pass him up, especially on your new place. I’d kill him bow or rifle and be happy with him

                        I would shoot him, he’s the bull of the woods it seems like. He’s mature, so if they are similar to white tails in that regard, I wouldn’t expect the horns to get much bigger (primaries and secondaries are weak). I would shoot him, they sure do taste good

                          We have axis on the lease I just got on. Don't think he would qualify to take. There is something to be said in building your herd up.
