    Stuck me an Elk

I took off early Friday to head out to the ranch to try to get me an axis, I was already told there were some good ones but it may be hard to get on them with my bow, I had been in the tripod for about 3 hours when I got a text that there was a herd of elk coming in and if I wanted one I had the green light, Now first let me tell you I am not much on texting, but try this on a tripod with all kinds of animals watching you, It was rather comical I am sure. As the herd came to the feeder I was contemplating my situation, I have been really wanting an axis, but I do prefer to take my animals with my bow, an axis may go 150lbs. or so, an elk is much larger meaning more meat. Once they showed my decision became fairly simple. I know as far as elk go, this guy is not a monster, But for me and my freezer, I like him. Once again, I do not know how to post pics, but do have some on my phone I can send to someone if you can help me out, I would very much appreciate it. They guesstimated him at 800# and we had to gut him where he laid so we could get him loaded. I am pumped about him and glad I carried an extra 150qt. igloo with me. There is a lot of meat to be dealt with. Thanks for looking
