I am having a hard time with this one. Really young or super old. I think I am going with super old. That 1st pic gives it away. Frail and run down. And too much mass at bases to be that young

Looks just like one on our place that's 3. He went downhill body and horns, probably got a little infection or something. We just ran a round of medicated feed through our deer, hopefully it turns him around.

I'm going with 3yrs but he looks really thin. Another pic this time of year will make it a little easier...maybe.

Those who think he's real old, what are the characteristics that make you think so?

Looks at least 5.5 in the kill thread. Typically won’t see those sticker points coming off the bases like that on a deer any younger than 5.5 in that part of the world.

Default He got him.

Very proud of my son Landon. He hunted hard this weekend. Saturday morning he was hunting by himself, he made a good shot on the deer, it ran about 5 yards and was done.
He has been hunting this buck since the second weekend of bow season both with his crossbow and rifle. we had lots of pictures of this deer on camera, and Friday morning he came out at my other stand, where my oldest son Logan was hunting. He recognized the buck as the one Landon was hunting, and let him walk. Saturday he showed up where we had been getting most pictures and Landon was ready for him with his 6mm Remington passed down to him from his Pepaw, my stepdad.
This is his first buck, and we are very proud of him, and happy for him.
