Nothing like seeing excitement from a first deer kill!

Maddie and I both had elevated heart rates this evening. Didn’t get a shot on the doe, and was going to give her clearance on a 10 pt, until the wind started swirling and everything spooked off. Still a very successful hunt. Maddie said it was awesome, she wants to go back out in the morning, extra early, and walk down (no buggy). She said third time is the charm, so stay tuned for tomorrow. So glad hunting season is here...love these threads & appreciation you chiming in directly!! Loving Maddie's attitude & enthusiasm!!

For those following & haven't been there... it's arguably where most of the excitement lays getting to put a youngster on their first deer between the kiddo & those fortunate enough to 'guide' along. I've been blessed to have done it for a few 1st timers & it ranks above shooting my best trophy. Never pass this up. A chance to be there for a kids first deer is something to be cherished!!
