    Vacation Ideas in July?

My wife and I are looking to take my brother and his soon to be wife on a vacation with us in July. We will take them on this getaway as their wedding gift.

    Flying somewhere is ok.

    $3000-$3500 budget total

    5-6 days

These are trips/places we/they have already done and do not really want to repeat for this particular trip:

    - Texas Coast
    - Texas Hill Country
    - Casinos (Louisiana or Vegas)
    -Costa Rica
    - Mexico

No hunting or fishing for this trip either unfortunately.

My wife also could be potentially pregnant then as well.

I have thought about a cruise. I also thought about flying in to Denver then getting an RV and have a road trip up to Yellowstone and back over 5 1/2 days.

Open to suggestions but budget and time of 5-6 days in July is pretty firm as our schedules are busy with both of them coaches.

This is also a surprise as we will not tell them where and what we are doing until the day of the trip. They know just to be packed and ready on the dates we decide on.

    Thanks in advance!

I think Yellowstone would be a nightmare unless you like traffic and crowds. July is their busiest time. My vote would be Colorado. Cool nights, warm days, dry weather, and amazing views.

Do you think the national parks there would be crowded?

I agree. Was there 2 years ago with my daughter. Nothing but traffic. People from Asia everywhere on tour busses. Cameras around the neck whole 9 yards. Was nice though.

          Go to Colorado.
Go White Water Rafting one day
          Go to Pike's Peak
          Go visit Garden of God's
Do a day hike (Pure beauty)
Go fly fishing with a guide.

Stay in Colorado Springs and plan day adventures from there. The options are endless.

PS take me and William fishing

Highly suggest you look at Cuba. SWA flies there and takes care of Visa, food and hotel is cheap, still locked in 50's and so on.

Nothing is as busy as Yellowstone. Tetons are very nice and Jackson is a great town. There is obviously not as much to drive around and see in the Tetons but it is a very nice Park. If you had a little more time I would suggest Glacier as it is the best National Park in my opinion. Colorado might be your best bet. I would skip Colorado Springs and just go to all the great mountain towns. Ouray,Telluride, Lake City, Durango, Crested Butte. All these would be great place to go in July.

If in Colorado, go to Golden and tour the Coors plant. They have free samples.
