I have enquired about a trip between Christmas and New Years, not sure what the deal is, last email they sent they said someone would price our trip for us, never heard back, that was two weeks ago, I may just go back to Costa Rica, it was a very good trip last year.

Lived in Panama for a couple years 77 and 78.

Loved it there. We fished the fresh water lake in the middle of the canal a lot.

Usually go to Crocodile Bay Resort in Costa Rica instead. More tours and trips for the wife to enjoy. Tropic Star is on the list tho. My friend won their trip at SCI a couple years ago, and he and his wife had a fantastic time. Don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I can't speak for their booking but having been there - their customer service is better than anywhere else. I'm not sure who you emailed but I would try calling their contact in Florida. There is very spotty service at the Lodge but we were able to FaceTime our two kids every day. I mean they literally meet you AT the airport in Panama City, escort you through customs, drive you to the hotel (of your choice), pick you up from the hotel, fly you to the bay, and when you are there it is even better. They wake you up with coffee, or the drink of your choice, everyday and have food and drinks for you when you return. I would say don't let one email lack of response give you any indication of the people there.

No sir. Billfish ate live bait. I wanted them on the fly but we couldn't get them into our teasers. At least one boat fishing around schools of tuna dolphins trolling at high speeds ran out of bait and had sails coming into the teasers.
