Bump for a free course. I'm not sure what the instructors go through to line something up for a Hunters Ed, but if it's what we have to do for a BH Ed course it can be a pain, free too whereas ours aren't.

Took this course with my young son several years ago. They did a great job and it was a lot of fun.

Now that I'm retired, I would like to get back into teaching the courses again? When I had my gun/hunting store in Lubbock, back in the 80's I provided and taught the course. Anyone know what would be involved to get back into teaching again? Could not care less about $$, just something to do useful these days in my "ample" spare time.

Thumbs up

Guys, this event draws 75+ every year! Dan is the Chairperson now and I was in his seat for about 5 years previous. It is a fun day (not druggery) with lots of parents/guardians doing the class with their kids. We have even had Big Brother/Big Sisters organization bring the kids they work with......talk about inspirational.
Lots of FREE snacks, FREE lunch, FREE drinks, and drawings (including gun & hunt) for everyone. Please share this link with any folks you know that needs this course or local ORGANIZATIONS that could use this class as a teaching opportunity for their constituents. Your help as hunters is KEY to protecting our future out in the woods & fields!

I attended with two of my boys last year. Very good course that kept the boys attention and they learned alot. If work allows, I'll be there this year with my youngest son that was 2 weeks shy of the required age last year.
