Default Gun polising

Stripped down a Beretta 1951 to refinish it. I'm a blue gun dude. It just seems kinda counterproductive to blue it after spending a lot of time sanding out all the imperfections with 400 grit.
It's so shinny & purdy!
Should I use a Dremel tool, bench buffer , spend forever doing the polishing by hand? Or is there another way I can do it myself?

I misspelled polishing in my title but now I can't change it. Please don't hurt me!
