Default 2019 Chevy half tons reviews

Any reviews on the new Chevys (or GMCs)? Are the cabs bigger on the inside now? I saw where they have a 6.2 liter engine now. Anyone know what the difference in the 1500 and the 1500 LD are? I assume LD stands for light duty, but what does that mean?

Saw one Sunday. Ugly as sin.

The 6.2 has been out awhile. Wife's 2015 has 6.2

Never driven one but the outside looks great. Inside is pretty boring, lots of plastic. Even the high end models.

I did not think the new body style 2019 's were out yet, I will be looking at the the off road package on a half ton with the 6.2, should really run.

Look good to me. I saw the tricked factory lifted one today. Outside fine, inside just so-so.

They look good all one color and lifted. I might have to go new again... I wonder if you still have to get the high zoot packages to get the 6.2? I hate that they did that. My 11 was a low option LT with the 6.2 and I hope they’ll offer the big motor in “lesser” trim levels again.

I wanted to 6.2 when I bought my 2015 but only could find it in the high country trim. Couldn’t afford that.
The 5.3 is doing good though!!

Think 2008 was the first year for the 6.2’s in trucks. And yes, it’s only offered in upper trim levels

I thought the 6.2’s were only available in the 3/4 tons? I’m assuming that the 6.2 is the 1500 LD. And you get the 5.3 with the regular 1500. I heard the cabs were going to be bigger, but haven’t verified that yet. I have only looked at pictures, but I plan on stopping by and checking out the inside of one at some point in person

They also have a diesel for the half tons, not sure if it is out yet, I think I may get that hot rod 6.2 half ton, my wife has one in her Denali and it runs like a corvette, I will keep my 2500 Duramax for the heavy lifting.

Sat in one of the LT Custom models. Outside with the duratrac tires looks sharp. Inside was a huge let down and MSRP 55k (with the 5.3 motor). Still waiting on the half ton diesel specs, have high hopes with an inline 6 motor.

6.2 in the LTZ and High Country, I got the 6.2 in my 2014 1500 LTZ and it is a very strong and peppy engine. The mileage isn't great but I wasn't concerned about that. I'm going to give the new model a year then buy another one in 2020.

They look like a Colorado, copied at 120%. Since the motor is still the 5.3, I can't imagine it's any less reliable than every other 5.3 produced since '99. Engine/drive train will last forever, rest of the truck will wither away.

GM interiors always look cheap/plastic-y, this one appears to be more of the same. I really wish GM would at least make the interior of the GMC nicer, but that hard black plastic is just awful. I don't understand how its possible to make interiors look this bad for so long. You would think the engineer would have retired by now...

Okay, Yes they are out, Yes the cab is bigger inside front and back. Longer wheel base, moved the front axle forward. Will be available in multiple configurations. Eight trim levels, five motors. From a 4cyl, 6cyl, two v8's, and a diesel. Hit me up with PM's if you need info. I am one of the internet sales managers at Jerry's in Weatherford. Will help any way I can. Michael Baird 817-723-4194

The new trucks re-introduce the rear air conditioning vents that went away back in 1998 or so. This one feature will have me in the market once they come down out of the clouds, and the new look has some time to grow on me, maybe this time next year.

My daughter hates riding in my truck because the back is always hot if we are not freezing up front. Because of that the Yukon has been racking up all family mileage.

Being you can get 2.8 colorado diesel to 220hp and 440tq, I'm expecting some large numbers from the inline 6.

Saw a solid black 19 at the dealership last week. The back seat seemed to have quite a bit more room and the bed seemed deeper (higher side walls).

This will be the first time a gas 4 cylinder will be offered in a half ton truck, ever. Surprising it has more horsepower and torque than the 4.3 V6. They should have just turbocharged the 4.3 as a direct competitor to the Ford Ecoboost motors.

I am a Silverado fan but in pics I haven't liked the 2019. I saw one yesterday driving around Weatherford, and even though I don't like white trucks, I really liked it. It looks better in person in my opinion.

I was looking at the 2018 but the rear cabin space and lack of ac vent turned me to the f150. I am glad to hear they remedied both issues ..just too late for me. I purchased Thursday.

.....and God Bless America.
