Jose needs to remember that just because you can put the bat on any pitch you want doesnt mean you should.
These first pitch reaches arent working the odds lately...

Thats actually paraphrased frome something he said he was told early in his astros career... he got pickier and his OB sky rocketed.. need to quit trying to make up for lost time and relax a bit.....

I say sitting from my recliner...

But i did pay $26 for two beers at the game last night so he should listen to me

We celebrated back to school on Monday with a trip to the Astros game. Got a championship ring too!

Big game today, almost a must win. Probably the most important game of the season as of this date

He looked like his body could use a rest. I wouldnt be surprised to see JV and Cole missing a start as well down the stretch.

Samething yesterday.....Altuve and Correa both came up with an opportunity to blow the game open and both ended up disappointing back to back. That's baseball. On to the next inning. At least Keuchel finally had a clean inning. Good grief he has been a mess today.

He has been a mess almost every time he pitches...takes 5-6 runs to win for him...

Hoping they can hang on...

Yep. Bregman is the only one right now that is having good ABs routinely. The other ones are hit or miss.

Heard today that the As might have lost Menera (sp) for the season. He has been their best starting pitcher !

I would take that

Me too...BUT if we do our part the A's won't matter

Manea is their best bet to beating the Yankees in a 1 game WC.

Stros for me. If NW St. gets a lead or keeps it close I might flip over just for the crowd shots, but that's not likely.

The ump screwed JV on the strike out pitch on Trout. Cost him a handful more pitches that inning.

Two, to little, too late.

Can't win them all, at least it wasn't a shutout. Altuve got a couple of hits, I'm hoping he gets 200 hits again this year.

Was there a dust-up between JV and Hinch in the dugout after he was pulled last night?

I saw something about that on twitter late last night. It looked like Mr Kate issued a pretty good cussin under his breath at Hinch on his way to the tunnel. I wasn't sure if it was real, or current, for that matter.

I saw a short clip also.....I couldnt tell if it we real or had been edited to make it look like that. I looked around on the internet and couldnt find anything else so it has me wondering. I cant blame JV for his frustration. He get's so little run support at home, reminds me of the year Nolan lead the league in era only to have a losing record. JV was probably ****** because he got taken out and Sipp and Harris immediately gave up 3 runs, pinning him with another lose.

Edit- it is on the Astros page so it happened. JV saying stuff as he headed out of the dugout and Hinch followed him.

Jv was joking in dugout right after being pulled..which immediately turned to a frown when sipp walked the bases loaded.... and then was ****** after harris harrised.
Cant blame his frustration..pitch count was high... but he was still throwin 97 ..
Id take a 100+pitch count verlander over 0 pitch count sipp or harris any day of the week.

Agreed but I think part of his frustration was seeing a zero on his side of the scoreboard.....again. He is having a Nolan type of season. The offense has provided 1.8 runs of support in his starts at home with the most being 3 runs. That will get old after 5 months. I bet the offense is feeling some pressure the next time he takes the mound if they havent already.

His ERA is sky high in August and giving up alot of bombs. I don't blame Hinch, plus also its in an effort to rest his starters some down the stretch
