Manadalay bay owners sue mass shooting victims. Interesting.

The corporate owners of the Mandalay Bay casino filed suit against the victims of last year’s Las Vegas concert mass shooting, claiming it has no liability for the massacre, according to a published report on Monday.

that headline is misleading... they are suing to stop litigation against them.
I kind of agree with them.
Why is the hotel responsible for the actions of a lunatic?

Why should they bare some responsibility???
Because "hotel employees" helped him haul hundreds of pounds of guns and ammo into the hotel and up to his room all the while this is being videoed by hotel "security" cameras..

And heres the slope for ya.. hold on tight..

The valet helped too..by parking his car..
The guy that sold him gas helped too by providing him fuel to get those guns to their destination.
The Guy that sold him the the guns and ammo are at fault as well.. NOT to mention anyone that has sold him food or drink that kept him alive so he could do this deed.... and the city of mesquite is at fault as well for not recognizing he was a ****in nut job and getting him out of the population while he was there...
and you.. you're at fault...how the **** did you not foresee this and warn everyone.. surely you saw crows flying around..or secret codes in your daily national enquirer that could have tipped you off to this massive conspiracy.....
              You. You did this.

And "hotel employees" assisted him in using the service elevator, numerous times, which is totally off of the beaten path and not normally used by guests, with no questions asked..
Did he have help or is this a just a coincidence?

Oh they will pay and pay big and for good reasons..

So you're saying the hotel, or hotel employees KNEW what was in his luggage, and are therefore culpable?

I'm saying that its very possible and highly probable that he had inside help..
Either way it was a serious breakdown in hotel "security"...

Are guns illegal? Then who cares if they knew he had guns.

The hotel should not be liable. Not even if an employee was in on it.

I still fail to see where Mandalay Bay is culpable. Using the service elevator is not unusual AT ALL.

Have you seen what has happened to gas cans in the past 10 years or so, what do you think the reason is that those things have gotten so dang complicated?

I dont really disagree with you sentiment. It comes down to the time line though, which is still not really clear. And I understand that MGM has stated they disagree with the one from LEO. If the casino held SWAT up, while people were being murdered, yea I can kinda see how the victims would want some recourse.

When I posted the link I forgot to mention that I too...side with Mandalay on this. Unless any further information is released showing otherwise..the hotel is not liable in my humble opinion.
