I don't think hunting generates as much of a PROPORTION of our annual GDP as you think.
I'm willing to bet that weed sales are more than hunting revenue

Weed isn't taxed at a federal level since it is still technically an illegal substance.

Part of the sales tax you pay when buying a bong isn't sent to the Feds, but it is when you buy a tree stand.

i don't disagree that if the government would decriminalize weed, and start taxing the growers and distributors, it would be a financial windfall like this world has never seen. But that probably won't happen any time soon.
