My dumb question for the DAY :-)

I recently was given a climbing stand.
How does one go about climbing with it?
How does one tie it together so you don't loose the bottom whilst climbing?
I asked that cause I've read some posts where people have lost the bottom piece while climbing.....

I haven't spent much time on YouTube or Giggle nor have I looked at the stand much.

Pretty simple just find you some rope (1/4-1/2) with 1/2 being pretty generous. I tie a clove hitch and a safety to the top and bottom of both sides with about 31/2-4 ft of slack between them Depending on legs stride. Always have a safety belt and cell phone when hunting alone in a climber.

Well it depends if it's open front or there is a bar there which is a sit and climb. You really should check out youtube but it's pretty easy to climb. Oh, and you tie it together with about a 4-5ft piece of rope.

Most of those climbers are rated at 300 lbs weight capacity and that looks like an API brand but I aint sure. I have owned two of them and if you have tall trees with tight bark and no low limbs they work ok.

Be careful with that climber Kyle, you get hurt bad jacking around with it. Make sure to get a safety harness and use it.

Well if you want to drive over to Fruitvale we will strap it to a tree and I will show you the ropes. Back when I was hunting in Mississippi this is all we hunted out of.
