    Be careful out there

Had to clear 12 foot high on the tree limbs to get the fertilizer trucks in. We used a tractor bucket and chainsaw to get most down.
The last limb was high up and so me being the bright light I am I tried the old break the limb trick.
Well it broke all right, then it rolled back over the bucket and knocked my left leg back and pinned it against the fender. Duh no clutch control.
One piece was pushing into my right side below my ribs and all I could do was hit the brakes to chook out a 100 hp tractor.
The guys with me had to cut the limb into 5 pieces to get it off.
All I can say is I was lucky. Nothing broke but you ought to see the inside of my left leg from just above the knee down.
Only been operating equip for 50 years.

Chainsaws, big limbs, and tractors are always risky.

Trees can be unpredictable when you get to cutting on em. Good to see you are ok.

I had a pine tree pin me in a dozer once. Direct drive tractor with a hand clutch. Pinned me AND THE CLUTCH at the same time. My left arm was pinned also. Luckily I had enough sense to grab the steering clutches with my right forearm, pull them back, and kick the main gearshift into neutral with my foot. Nobody on the site with me, so it could have been much worse. I was young and dumb, but I got older at least !

                              This.

I have been in similar situations and always look back on it and realize how bad it could have been.
