      Day there isn't enough demands

I've had the same experience so I'm just doing crimson clover by itself tomorrow to catch the rain this weekend

Gonna get down there today and plant before this rain over the weekend.
I’ve planted mid September all the way to October before and haven’t had an army worm issue yet. If i run into them is there a way to kill them and save the plot?

About 25lbs of coated seed went down this path
Its about 20-25 feet wude and from here to that apex is 200 feet
I turned the corner and went down another 100 feet
Just simple broadcast with $3 Wal-Mart spreader
                Did not cultipack
                Rain came the next day

Thinking about coming back with either wheat or collards (brassicas) on top of this in 2-3 weeks

I planted back on 9/8 at my place in SE OK. I haven't had a drop of rain yet, but when I was there broadcasting there was a bunch of dew on the ground. Hoping for some good rain this weekend!

This doesn't look like clover to me. Got any before planting pics?

I used to plant around labor day, but the last several years it has come up with some good showers, then it got dry again and I lost it all. Didnt plant last year, but decided that if I did I would wait until later to see what the rain did. I hunt on very sandy soil and I went out this weekend, and even after last week's rain, it was still powder dry on top. If I broke it up to plant it would be that dry within a day or so throughout the root zone, so I didnt bother.

Im gonna try mowing down the grass and goat weed, and broadcasting some of that "no-till" stuff.

That's wild grass you see growing
I threw clover (what's in that bag) on top of it last week
In about 6-7 months it will "look like clover" everywhere
