    Bi-fold trailer ramp help please.

Well I just bought a new ranger crew and it fits tight on my trailer that has a full length ramp. I am going to build a ramp this weekend so I can add a lift and forward arms on the ranger. I really need some help with pix of bin fold ramps you guys are using. Thanks in advance for the help.

I like those latches, they sell them at the metal supply here. Your gate is nice for sure. I know you need something like the angle you have welded, but I don't think I've seen one where the angle stick up.

DarrellS, you ever have an issue with those type latches catching something and opening up? Or are they pretty secure?

I have had no problems. It's been to Colorado and numerous trips to the lease. They are adjustable and you can make the extremely tight once they over center.

From the dozens of gate repairs Ive seen at my FIL's shop I can tell the most important thing is a brace where the tires will roll up the gate. Exactly where Darell has his. Next would be tacking as much of the expanded metal as possible. Commercial built trailers done seem to do either enough.

Its also the reason I ended up ordering without a gate. Worst case scenario I can go build one and add it

I got finished building my gate yesterday, and man I really do like it a lot. It's kinda heavy but it works like a champ. I may look into adding a gas assist shock like the ones I have seen on the diamond c trailers.

                      Nice work

That's exactly what i want done to my trailer but I definitely do not have the skill set or the equipment to do it.

They are a gate style or bullet hinge I got at the metal yard, probably 6 inches long.
