Dad’s success in Anderson Co.

My dad does not use feeders. He hunts his favorite two trails near a creek has one ladder stand and sits on the ground near the other trail. Here is a spike from last week and the 8pt he shot this morning.

Good deal. Sometimes that is the smartest way. I have a place on my lease next to a creek that I saw deer regularly travel. I would hand corn it and see deer regularly. Now that I cleared shooting lanes, put up a feeder and a stand.... it ruined it. The deer vanished. I should have known better. After season it will be returned to it’s natural state.

Congrats to your dad. There are many ways to harvest a deer. Looks like he found one that works for him. Do you know if he got 8 point from the ground? That could get exciting.

Shot it from the ladder stand. He called it in using a Primos Can. Said it walked right up to him then spooked. The buck ran off about 40 yds and stopped to look back, that’s where he shot’em.
