    9 pt or 10?

Would the GS consider this a 9pt or 10pt (specifically referring to the small point on the end of right beam) Either way I am pretty happy with him. Just curious, cause it has caused some debate. net score was 137 6/8

The small point (G4) is on his left side??????

    I see 10 points, so I would consider it a 10 point!

A scorer would only consider it a 10 point if the G4 on his left side measures over 1".

Congrats on a very nice buck!

Is it over an inch long? Nice buck, congrats.
If you're old school, can you hang a ring on it? Lol

I have one with a similar point and I count him a ten pointer.

To be scored a point by B&C standards it must be an inch long and longer than it is wide. That is the other part that most folks miss. A lot of these shorter tines are sometimes wider than they are long. Anyway, if I was officially scoring it I couldn't count the point. But in the big skeem of things, I'd have a hard time not calling it a 10 point. Great deer!

                    Yeah kicker is 2.5"

and yes the point on his left (right side of picture)

I called it a 10pt , but another member on our lease said it was a 9 (we can shoot 2 "culls" less than ten point) and one Trophy (10 pt or more) I said this was my trophy cause I thought he was 10, he is trying to talk me into shooting another but im done and happy regardless , just thought id ask thanks

I don't see a brow on the right side though so it's a 10 if the G4 is 1 inch or longer.

By b&c standards, 9 pt but anywhere I hunt he would be the 10 with the brow kicker. Nice buck!!

If its an inch or longer, it counts as a point (by B&C standards)

There no brow on his right side.

                            Edit: Nice buck either way!

You also have to measure that point by drawing a line along the top edge of the main beam all the way across the point along the top of the beam on the other side of the point. The point length is measured from that line to the tip of the point.
