    Austin Achery Club Jan shoot

For Austin's first 3D shoot of the year we're trying something new. A shotgun start at 10am. We're doing this to get as many people as we can finished with the course at the same time so we can have more members to vote on new officers. There will be a BBQ catered lunch and door prizes to be given away. This is only for the January 3D shoot. We hope you can join us.

Go to the website austinarcheryclub.com to join.
You do not have to be a member to shoot our monthly tournaments.

Robert, what traditional categories are available at the AAC Monthly shoots? Appreciated.

At our monthly shoots we have longbow, recurve and selfow/primitive.

Never shot 3D before. Planning on making this one. Dumb question but how many arrows should I bring? I've got two dozen built.

Don't worry too much about that, Richard. There's 30 targets, but they tend to be under 25 yards in traditional classes -- most less than that. It is fairly rocky terrain, so a few extra arrows never hurt in case of misses. Nice thing is the foam animals don't MOVE!
