Default First snake of the year for me

This guy didn't want any trouble. We crossed paths but he never rattled and I didn't get to close to make him want to strike.

Nice! I might have to take him out for a more thorough photo session. This is a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake and I hope some of y'all are kidding!

It doesn't just look like a rattler...it IS a rattler. The eyes are a dead giveaway.

Unfortunately that one is still breathing. I was working on a ranch where all they do is research so we aren't allowed to kill anything.

I've killed 14 rattlesnakes here in llano county since February. My cup holder is getting pretty full
