I finally landed my revolver unicorn! After a 3 year search I got connected with a guy that had this beautiful S&W 14-5. It's built from the ground up as a target pistol, .38spl, full lug barrel, combat finger grips, smooth target trigger, target hammer and blacked out rear and partridge front sights.. I'd say it's 95-96% condition, which I like cause I get to shoot it.. a lot! I found one other 14-5 in my search but it was unfired and way too collectible to be in my safe! I can't wait to get this pistol out on the range! I love it!

Well, since the finds came out of my paycheck "technically" I bought it, but over the weekend the wife and one of her girlfriends went to a local "Build an AR" workshop, bought a mess of parts and proceeded to build their own weapons. Only thing I had to add was a LaRue optic mount to get the Aimpoint high enough to use. She was quite proud of herself that she built it on her own (with the help of a gunsmith hosting the workshop of course).

Thanks man. I appreciate it! Took me awhile to find all the parts too! And after completion, I can't believe I haven't made time to go shoot it haha.. that's horrible. I do dig the side charging ARs though! Tried to stick with a crusader theme (battle hardened silver/black for the Crusader's armor and red accent for the red cross) Had my buddy engrave PSALMS 140:4 on the lower too. God is awesome

I've bought several over the last few months including a glock 43, ruger American 17hmr, and today a Henry lever action 22.

I'm still thinking of an AR-15. Had one before and regret getting rid of it.

My unfired Stoeger Luger from the year I was born, 1969. This will go over on our living room wall.

I might some info on the gun on the lower right side later.

Bought another carry piece. I prefer to carry full size, but have been doing more active stuff lately and needed something smaller.
Glock 43 with a DeSantis IWB at the 4 o'clock position is pretty comfortable.

Nice! I bought the same one yesterday, but with night sights. I've got a Khar CW 9 and a 938...but I just like Glocks. I trust them. Never had an issue with a Glock. Yes, I'm a fan boi...cuz they're beautifully ugly and simple. Congrats sir

You'll enjoy it. I've got a few to choose from, but this one is invisible no matter what I wear. I'll upgrade sights next time I'm in town and truly put it through its paces at the range

Not today but I picked up this Savage Hog Hunter in 308 at 15% off from Gander Mountain which was $5 less then Buds and in my hand that day...

Installed the mount for my Thunderbeast, Talley rings and a 5-20 huskemaw that needed a home. A boyds Prarie hunter is on the way.

It shot 168 and 178 Hornady ELD-s extremely well. Ordered a set of redding premium dies, lapua brass and a box eld's. Plan to start stuffing boolets this week.

New Contender barrel / dies on the way - New cartridge for me - 7-30 Waters. Best part... I found factory Federal ammo for it on sale at Gander Mountain going-out-of-business sale last week! So I won't have to form .30-30 brass to make 7-30, as I already have factory headstamped 7-30 brass! I've been wanting one of these for a while. Can't wait to scope it and shoot it.

All the best,
Glenn

Rem 700 30-06 from Gander Mntn for $650ish...20% off. Just need a recoil pad...then I can shoot more than 5 shots...Im hoping. Checkering is superb but very functional. If I put a scope on it...I will need to pad the comb. Hooded front sight makes target acquisition very natural. Windage and and elevation adjustments for rear sight. My first 30-06....many years of being told other calibers were far better because of blah blah blah(...IMHO...none as versatile)

.22 will still be $95. The taurus is selling for $189-199 all over the net (194 from DEguns, no tax and free shipping). Thats why i never gave the deal a second look. You are only saving about $40 if you bought both outright. Still not bad if you really wanted the .22 (normally $139 so about 30% off)
