My Buddy's son was able to connect with his first deer. He has put a lot of time and effort practicing..... And it came together.
He was hunting blind C, evening hunt, a couple doe and a nice 8 point came in. They stayed out about 40 yards and would not commit. Finally one of the doe committed and came to the mineral block. She finally got broadside, at 20 yards, and he released. She tore out of there.
He waited for us to get back and we took up the trail. The 2 bladed Rage did it's normal devastation and left a blood trail a blind person could follow. We let him follow the trail, lol, and I assured him most blood trails are not so easy. She must have moved a little at the shot, it turned into a quartered away shot. She ran about 60 yards
