Changes in rests

I currently have the rest that came on this starter bow I bought from a neighbor. It's this one:


My question is this. By changing to a drop away rest, what gains will I make? Will it increase speed? Tighter groups?

It could increase both, marginally, I would think for the fact that there would be no contact on the arrow before it hits something. Is it worth spending up to $100 when you already have a rest that works, I assume well for you, probably not. But if you ever get a new bow I would suggest a drop away rest as they do let the arrow fly free with no contact on it what so ever. Just an opinion though.

Same rest that came with mine
After about 500 arrows thru it
Started to wear down quick
I changed to a QAD hunter
I am not looking back at all
