    Henry Golden Boy-22lr or 17HMR

If you had your choice of a Henry Golden boy chambered in 22lr or 17hmr which would you choose and why? I already have both calibers. It will probably be handed down to the grandson

I'd have to go for the 17hmr. For is ballistics.

I think that is the reason I even asked this question. I love the 17, I have.

The .17 is okay. It's faster but to me the lighter bullet is limiting.

.22, it's a classic hand me down gun and it's hard to deny a classic firearm and caliber being passed down

You guys talked me into sticking with the classic. She sure is pretty. Now I can't decide whether or not to shoot it or leave it in the box and put it in the safe. I never thought I'd be contemplating that!!!

You can hand down a new rifle the day you buy it. To me a true hand me down is something with character and a story. I say use it, it makes it a part of you to hand down.
