    Can't touch this

I have a Bushnell Laser Yardage Pro Sport 450.
I love it but the problem is, I can't touch it with out getting sticky.
The entire case is sticky to the touch.
It has been in my bow case or backpack and has nothing spilled on it.
What to do? Is it time for a new one? I would think that it would last longer than a couple years.

Plastic is breaking down. Do you remove the batteries when you store it?

Yes, it's not in the battery compartment. It's the out side of the case.

Wrap in "fuzzy stuff" for your bow shelf after you get it wiped down. You'll never have the problem again.

had a rifle stock and range finder do this, was told it was caused by bug spray. not sure I believe that, but I guess its possible.

For sure the OFF! and other repellents with DEET in them will make plastic soft and sticky. Army repellent is 100% DEET and works like a charm but be careful with your watch, your sunglasses, fishing lures, etc.

Sorry I should clarify, I'm not doubting that deet does that, I've seen it myself. Was just saying, not sure that that is what caused it on this particular gun.
