    Porch swing

    Carie's step dad made this thing over 20 years ago and its about to give up the ghost. It was made from 2x4s ripped into the desired thickness.
    I am about to attempt to repplicate it.

    Here are the first of the 25 back slats I need. They are 16"x1/2"

          Next are the seat slats. There are ten of them. Each is 48x1/2"

                Next are the arms. They are 23x2 1/2" with a 2x1 1/4" notch cut at the back.

                      Arm supports 2x4x10 1/2 there are 2, one on each end. The 1" hole is 1 3/4" to center from the top.

                        Verticle back supports 23x1 1/2x1/2 there are 2 of these.

                          There are 4 seat supports. I will have to cut these at work. I don't have a band saw here. Start with a 22" 1x4

                            That's it for today. I will cut the seat supports monday, then drill pilot holes, countersink, and sand.
