Clinic and deliveries are done for the day. All my patients tucked in for the night. Will be packing tonight and have to make rounds in the am. Flight leaves at 1050 am and I will be ready. Hopefully I can post some reports and pics along the way. I will try to keep all the details for those who have asked about the trip. It's different from my usual hunt but it's going to be a good one!

Good luck Doc! On my bucket list for sure, only geared a little more towards the waterfowl there. Wish I'd know you like shooting cranes. We've been murdering them here all season!!

The adventure has begun! United flight delayed and we would miss connection. Three of us leaving Amarillo and all three on different American flights now. Mine leaves Dallas at 355. Looks like stone crabs ain't going to happen. Hopefully we make our 9 pm flight to chile. Starting to think American Airlines hates me!!!!!

Now delayed in Amarillo with mechanical issue. Some door seal. Gonna be cutting it close on flights all day. I love the airlines. Funny thinking about how mad patients get when I am 30-40 min behind. I should run my business like an airline!

We are on a plane. 2 of us should be fine but one guy is going to have about 15 min to navigate a couple terminals at dfw. Makes me think of a Robert earl Keene song!!! Definitely need more cocktails.

Still not in the air! 2.5 hours delay already. My buddies flight to Miami leaves at 230 pm. Starting to look worse. Frustrating as hell and no answers. I don't understand how the airlines do business like this.

We have only begun our journey. I think this flight is 8-9 hours. Then an hour in chile and an hour flight to cordoba. I think it's an hour or so to the lodge from the airport. But, we are shooting tomorrow.

We have boarded the plan in Santiago. One more flight and we are there. Should be shooting this afternoon. It's always an adventure but so far all has worked out. Red wine, whiskey, and ambien allowed for a 5-6 hour nap on the way down. Should be ready for whatever is next.

I cannot explain how incredible today was. We hunted half a day. I shot 1500 shells and I killed 1162 birds. I really wish I could explain how incredible it was. I could not quit until everyone told me it was time to go. I bird hunted my entire life and never could have dreamed of this!
