Was it the bows fault? (a miss or something like that?)

OH my god. I cannot believe it. You Matthew's shooters are all just alike. You think that Matthews is the only bow out there today. Y'all just have to show up and litter a thread that was intended to gain knowledge, the way TBH used to be in the old days.

Just kidding.

Oh yeah, at least Bowtech can actually shoot the advertised IBO rating unlike that "other" brand.

Rob,

I was really hoping Elite would do something that met their specs. I havent seen a spec they've put out that hasnt been proven wrong by independent study yet. They say 350 but all they get is 330.

Independent study........BTW the GT500 is rated 336-346. I don't know where they got the 350 rating.

Here's one for you.

Quote:
80#/30"
BC 82.2 343 IBO
Current 80.2 Max
404gr 345fps
430gr 330fps
454gr 325fps
GT500 with a loop on the string. That makes 105.6# of KE.

That could be the same specs for the 82nd, the xforce and the gt500. But I do like to think that if i'm pulling my bow back the least of my worries is a hernia!

I have no idea what Bowtech is bringing out, but I suspect this might be the last year for the Allegiance.
I'd like to see them come out with a shorter (33in) Airborne, and ditch the rollerguard, but I suspect that the rollerguard and string-stop are "in" the line-up.

btw anybody who shoots a whisker biscuit a tip to quiet it down

take 1200 then 1500 grit sandpaper to the arrow and then rub bowstring wax on it until it melts. i just tried it and it made my arrows MUCH quieter

Travis, I shot 2 GT500's that were 332 and the other 333 and both were at 29" @70lbs so I would say it is hitting it. My GTO does 329 at 29" and 70lbs, It was in the high side of its IBO range as well. I know of several that have gotten 30" GT500's at 70lbs doing the 346. I can honestly say that this bow is quiet at those speeds as well....I was VERY shocked at that. I'll get some #'s on one of the 3 Z28's i got coming in.

I wish Elite would come out with a 6" bh like the 82nd and xforce so it could be apples to apples.

I know of someone that has a special Elite that does 333 at 29" and 70lbs

My offical review of the Guardian for Billy

Guardian review

Dislikes:

1. Draw cycle is rough. Draw a single cam bow of same draw weight, you will see want I am talking about.

2. 80% let off....not happening. Was told that from Bowtech. 76-77% is about tops with some tweeking(twisting) of the cables. That is another thing I didn't like. Give me a module to adjust let off.

3. Looking at the cables through peep at full draw. Someone over looked this in the R&D dept. Fire them.

4. VERY shallow valley combined with the 70ish let-off sucks. Don't relax to much at full draw or it will pull you forward.

Likes:

1. Accurate, nothing else to say about that one.

2. Quiet, fast and no hand shock.

3. Pretty cool...no bow press needed.
