He looks to be 3 yr old to me. Always a guess, especially now through the summer. Once he thickens up in the fall he may looke everybit 4 yrs old. Not adding in the .5 since we are at the beginning of fawning season.

it is hard to age this deer, he does have a nice brisket, but very litt sway in his back, it he will be easier to judge later in the year. And that would appear to be a coon with him as well

I can see that.

I was thinking skinny due to range conditions this year... But I definitely see what your talking about now.

Long lean body, small neck, long legs, brisket, and sway back... Goofy looking deer!!!

Sway back, Pot belly. That is not a 3 year old deer. He is older. Has brisket and broad nose, notice how his hind quarters appear to be thin, similar to an old man who can't keep his britches over his back side. My vote initially before reading any other post was 5.5-6.5

I don't think anyone can accurately age deer right now. Just too early. I don't even try this early in the year.

And guys...they ALL have skinny necks right now, regardless of age.

I'm gonna go with 3 or 4. I don't think he is 5. His shoulders are lower than his rump. He looks really tight along his body except for his brisket. I also have a little experience with the deer up there and they're absolute tanks!

Im going with 3 on this. If he were 5, he would have alot bigger shoulders and neck regardless of time of year. I agree that it is harder to judge this time of year, but that deer isn't a day older than 4. He still has a long skinny head and small framed body.
