I wonder if the old worm catching method of 2 metal rods in the ground hooked up to an electrical plug would work. Then if they did surface from the "charge" you could do some golf practice with a moving target/ball.

East Texas has a uniqueness like no other area. Seems a lot of crawfish flee to the west from Louisiana and take up residence here so they won't end up in a boiling pot.

I saw this on TV and it really works too. Sneak some speakers into the neighbors yard across the street. Then depending on the moon phase play Bach, or Simon & Garfunkel. They'll all leave your yard for the neighbor's yard.

+ 1! We did this same thing, but in the early 90's! We weren't smart enough to actually thump the matches. We just stood over the hole, lit the match, and accepted the singed eyebrows as a cost of the fun.
