First of all, thanks to ALL involved. From the first phone call to get the ball rolling, to the last car out the gate. EVERYONE comes together to always make this bigger and better every year. Being my 3rd Bownanza, I must say it's the best one yet! The weather wasn't very cooperative but everyone adjusted for it and made best for the situation. I was glad to see some new faces and shake some hands of others that I'd seen in previous years but never got to meet. James (JMAR) and his lovely family are always great to spend time with, glad to see y'all again. Terry (Rubydog), glad to really get to talk to you and finally shake your hand. Thanks for ALL that you do! You sir are top notch! Shane & Andrea, glad to see y'all again and glad y'all made your first 'Nanza!! DOZER and "Macho Man", glad to meet y'all and enjoyed spending a little time with y'all. Steve (Jooger17), glad to see you and your g/f make it. And the laundry room is always open for you! Chris & Steph, glad y'all were there again. Jamie & Jillicious, so glad y'all could come. Forrest, enjoyed shooting the bull with you and your bride. Oval-O, enjoyed seeing you again... even tho you ARE shorter than Kevin!!! Michael (BrazosHunter), pleasure to shake your hand. Thanks for everything! HOGHEAD, always a good time!! Thanks for the relish!!! Cajun Blake, always a pleasure sir. Thanks for the supplies you donate to the teams! Leon, always a pleasure and enjoyed meeting your lovely bride. Ron, great to see you and meet your wife as well. And even Smart... glad to finally shake your hand!

There's lots more I'd like to mention but y'all would be cross-eyed from reading by the time you were done...

I want to give special thanks to Justin Bowerman for making the trip. He had his CD release party on Friday night in Paris and didn't get much sleep. Hauled butt in the rain on Saturday to get there to play a few tunes for us. Thanks buddy!!!

I'm sure there's lots of clips of Wade and his kids, but this is what I was able to record with my point & shoot. Just too dang cute!!! (click on the still photos for video)

I'm always hesitant to label a hunt or gathering as "the best ever" simply because I'm sure I often feel that way due to the freshness of the experience.

Having said that, with two days to reflect I think I agree with you.

Was it the new venue? Was it the "us against the weather" mentality that bonded us? Or was it simply better because as the years pass more people understand and embrace the concept of campfire fellowship in a park.

I guess the reason does not matter. It's the conclusion that counts.

Well said Steven...we were in the middle of selling our house, buying a new one and packing everything up to make the move at the end of this week, plus Leslie was working meaning I had the kids by myself for the weekend...needless to say, we were a little stressed and could have come up with a number of reasons to skip out on this one. I'm dang sure glad we didn't!!! Great time had by the Kubecka clan for sure!!!
