Default Target Thieves!!!

It seems that someone is trying to start a new archery range without the bother or expense of purchasing targets. Salt Grass Archery Club has once again been the victim of target thieves. This time they took a turkey and 2 deer targets. If anyone has any information about these thefts, please contact the Hitchcock Police Department (409-986-5559) or the Galveston County Sheriff's Department (409-766-2300).

Is there some way to tell that they are the clubs targets? An area that we should look for a number or the name of the club etc...?

check craigs list for them. Most likely they are just trying to make buck or two.

Ever thought of getting a Salt Grass Archery Brand and brand each target? That would make it very hard to resale targets.

Default Sounds Familiar

Tejas club in Corpus had almost all of their marking stakes stolen last month. We were very lucky, some of the stakes had been left out on the range or we would have needed to replace all of them.
I know this was a poor description, but the stakes are a rod type with an arrow and a handle. They took about 20 of those and about 60 rebar markers.

I will bring up the branding idea. At least if we find them we can prove where they came from.

Install one of these gps tracking devices in one of the targets. Make sure to locate it so they see it first.
