Default Question about wheel bearings 2004 dodge ram

Does anyone how difficult it is to change the front wheel bearing hub assembly on a 2004 dodge ram 1500 two wheel drive? Thanks.

Not difficult at all. Just nuts and bolts. Remove caliper and maybe abs sensor wire. then remove bolts that attach wheel hub.

If it's a sealed bearing assembly like my 01 4x4 (I have NO idea of what's in your 04 2 WD axle), the job is straight forward, but was not easy. They kind of rusted-in and I had to use a puller to help get mine out. Once a friend showed me how, it was straight forward.

I think you have to pull the whole hub out and change it.

As long as you have a impact it's an easy job. Not much different than doing front brakes. I did mine a few years ago and broke 2 breaker bars trying to get the hub nut off. Once I finally went over to my neighbors and borrowed his impact I was done in lke 15 minutes.
