SLAYER wins.

The Sepultura you mention was always easily my #2. With the last two performances of Lamb of God that I have seen I finally inched them above Sepultura into the 2 spot. If you consider all time live performances and power it's not really close. Slayer, LOG.............then everyone else.

It’s weird but Slayer is a band that I never really listened to much. I love several of their songs but I have never purchased or downloaded anything from them.

Not really weird. The images of satan, hell and death can push people away, even metalheads.

I first heard Hell Awaits in 85, the year it came out. Fully on board ever since. Skipped school on the day Reign in Blood hit the shelves. Made them go to the back and find it as soon as they opened. Lol.

Metallica is easily the "biggest" metal band ever.

Priest, Maiden and especially Sabbath get thier due.
