Ive spent many hours on stand in the East Texas Piney Woods and have yet to lay my eyes on a 140" buck. I didnt spend much money though

I believe nearly every county in Texas could produce B&C bucks with good management

Maybe you were in the wrong part of the pine trees

I'm a guy that loves huge ranches and vast, less commercialized, giant deer county so my choices would be Irion, Reagan, Gaines, Gray, Donley or Wheeler..
They are just a dang long drive for me..
Y'all can have South Texas... I'm out..

Old Mexico is by far my favorite place.... Some great, unforgettable, big buck were memories made across the river..

The way I see it is the old adage....if you have to ask you can't afford it! Lord knows I can't!

There are big @ss deer coming out of east texas now but guys keep quiet about it, IDK if its game cams and guys letting them grow but also being able to pattern them better with technology, the antler restrictions or some combination of all it, its really different than it was 20 years ago.

I hear all you need is 13 acres in Denton Co.... i guess the surrounding 4 counties would come next..

                            Ditto on this one.

Been hunting Houston County for many years and have never seen a monster buck during daylight. Have less than a handful on game cam and all at night.

Of course, I am only doing corn all year long and not doing a food plot.

But again, not spending a lot of my salary on it, because I have a family and will always be married.

If hunting in East Texas starts to cost as much as what I have seen on the green screen, I will have to give up my most valued hobby. That day will really suck.
