Wanting to buy a new TV, suggestions?

    Hey fellas -

looking to buy a new TV - 65" is the size I've decided on (not curved) as it fits the budget and entertainment center

Any suggestions? Brands to avoid? Place to buy?

I mostly watch sports and the occasional movie, about twice a year I'll play a video game of some sort.

    Thanks in advance

    -Jake

We recently bought a Visio UHD 4K at Sam's. Great picture. They have pretty good selection and pricing, and their extented warranties are cheap. Good luck buddy

          Thanks Louie!

Looking at the Vizio E Series TV -- most places are only carrying the D series though.

Do you know which model you bought?

The M series are a little fancier but someone would have to really justify it to me to spend the extra $$

Wife and I have been happy with our Vizio 4K. Great sound and picture with no issues in two years.

            Hope all is well, JT.

Thanks Jim - congrats on the marriage btw!

Any chance you know what class the tv is? Vizio has a few different ranges and I'm trying to do as much research as possible before making the investment.

E-series. If you want 4K, you have to go E-series....not much more cost than D.

good deal -- surprisingly the big box stores (wal-mart, target, etc) are pricing the D series slightly higher? Maybe they have the newer models and I'm looking at the 2017 models or something.

                  Appreciate the help mi amigo!

TCL 6 series (65”) is the real deal and best bang for your buck - $999 advertised price

Problem is finding one due to the extremely high demand

I just bought a 55” 4K from Frys off of West Road and I45 for $279. It’s a store brand-Atyme, but I don’t care. The picture is great. Not a smart tv, but we use a Chromecast with it.

If you sign up with Frys, you get an email with a promo code every day that gets you better pricing on selected items.

Here was the promo code 65” TV that was offered today.

I've been hearing this a lot lately which has surprised me since I have owned Samsung TV's historically and have been nothing but impressed with them.

Mind sharing a little info on your current problem? I have read numerous reviews and heard everything under the sun about them and would prefer some green screener info

                              Thanks!
