Correct. The viewer pays instead of advertisers. Sadly yt has done what so many other businesses have done, short change the ones doing the work to increase their own profits while pushing their own agenda.

Two friends of ours that travel the country in RV’s have realized a 75% decrease in yt profits. Both have had to resort to selling merchandise and doubling their work load to publish Patreon exclusive videos and they are still falling short of their original income.

It’s really sad yt is doing this. If a business minded person had the capital, their is a giant market for another video hosting site.

Youtube is probably paying less because everyone and their mother have started Youtube channels and everyone is getting a smaller slice of the pie. Zero barriers to entry.

Did it. I think you’re probably right about (graphic), you probably shouldn’t use that any more. I know that’s counter intuitive but in the day of the snowflakes you just can’t think the way we used to.
