I'll make it to Chester if I'm not on a rig. Wonder what it would take to get some shoots put together at some of our localish (East Tx) bow shops? On Target in Canton is the only place I know of that has a 3D season, It starts this month and they always do a good job and have a nice course set up, but it would be nice to move around a bit.

I have shot in Emory TX and in Tyler, TX. Both have club shoots. They are geared toward compounds but have Trad. classes. My home club is at Archers for Christ in Paris, TX. We shoot x2 per month and have a great Trad. class. Those may be a little closer for you.

Tyler archery club is good club n thought they were supposed to have a tbot shoot. They have club shoots and asa qualifier. Club shoot n carthage n one or 2 at meadow ridge n nac every year

Yes, it is not a TBOT event but the Texas Recurve Championship is at Cowtown in Ft Worth.

TBOT.org has contact information for the TBOT shoots. As the shoots get closer people typically post flyers or information about them.

Chester is located on Hwy 287 between Corrigan and Woodville. About 1 hour north of Beaumont (take Hwy 69/96/287 North) and about 1.5 hours NE of Houston (take Hwy 59 North), and about .75 hours south of Lufkin (take either Hwy 59 South to Corrigan or Hwy 69 South to Woodville).

Maybe we could add local clubs' shoots to the list; I'm sure most have trad classes.

The Austin Archery Club has 3D shoots every second Sunday of each month. Had a very nice turnout today, in fact, with lots of traditional shooters.

Historically this thread had been trad shoots only. We don’t want to clutter the thread with club shoots. There’s actually a whole section specifically for club shoots on another page of this site. People usually start a new thread individually to advertise their club shoots especially if they’re encouraging traditional shooters. Most guys in the Traditional forum want to go to TBOT or traditional only shoots to shoot multiple rounds with multiple bows.

You're right. Forgot all about there being a separate 3D forum. Hardly ever look at it though because it seems to just list individual shoots that someone posts a thread about happening "this week" or whatever. I just started a thread in that forum, inviting all TBH members to list the regular shoot days for their club so they can all be in one spot for future planning. I'm sure many may need to know in advance for requesting vacation time or just planning around other activities. Anyway, please go over and list your club's shoot days and other pertinent info in that thread. Thanks.

My guess is it is at the Fowler ranch( same place as last year) but it’s not the stickbow 100 hosted by TAS. Might get confirmation of that from Bob, as Im not for sure. I shot there last year, and its a beautiful place

This^^^^^^ is correct! I just checked with Bob. This will be a 30 target course, and be ran like a TBoT shoot where you can shoot all the different classes over the weekend!
