If possible could you show a picture of your bottom plate / reverse flow channel? Did you perforate it or just flat plate with a hole at one end? Thanks.

Solid till the end, no extra holes anywhere in it.

Buddy has a water jet machine up the street from my shop Mike.

Water jets are pretty cool! Shop got one when I worked for Tote Sytems LLC. Cut glass smooth as a baby's bottom, as well as stainless plate. Cut a life sized rose out of 1/8" glass including stem and leaves. Even etched the veins in the leaves.
