I have 6 drags but all I ever end up doing is wrapping them around a tree beforehand. I have never bedded a drag in the trap bed.

It takes a lil learning of what an animal dies when caught been once your spoiled to drags you won't like stakes any more

Anyone using wolf fang stakes? How are you attaching them to the trap chain?

I use wolf fangs. I like em. I use a quick link to attach my traps to it.

Same. I use them in sandy loam. In the gumbo/clay I try to set close to a tree to tie off to with a long chain.
I have drag chains that are 10 feet long, but like I said in the above post, I don't use the drags as drags.

This is my setup to attach stake or drag chain.

Do you use a shock spring on the staked traps?

How come you just don't use the J hooks on your swivel?

I like to be able to use a stake or a longer chain on any trap and not have to fool with the j hooks, having to open and close them.
