Simple and cheap. Light chain works forever instead of straps.
One joint cut into 40” pieces. Slick and shiny Schedule 40 only

It is that time of year

It is that time of year.

Has anyone found a easier, cheaper, and better way not to feed the coons?

I need a better cage as fat is the old sow coon is.

Thinking about trying the PVC pipe for the legs. Seems easier than getting some Duke's DP traps and should work on squirrels too.

              Suggestions appreciated

For the price, I'd try slinkies first. I had great luck with them before going to all stand and fills. You might have to replace a couple a year, but the coons could not get to my cage as long as the slinkies were in good shape. Trail camera pics proved it.

                  Protein-coon hood is the best

I heard about a guy that used some requisitioned Wal Mart shopping carts to make his feeder guards.

Combine whatever guard you put on the feeder with an aggressive trap & kill program. Dog proof traps are the easiest method, imo. Might throw in a little calling, if you have time for that.

I’ve been told the same. Suckers are pretty pricey though but I could see how they would pay for themselves pretty quick.

Terminator plates on all my corn feeders. They work.

Dukes traps and golden something or other (so I’ve heard anyway) for the win.

Slinky’s are a $3 problem solver. After all these years some of y’all still over think it.

Looks like a good design. Where’s your timer and battery compartment?

Yep! Have them on 4 of ours. Save on your feed bill.
