    Hardeman County Buck Age?

This deer was taken off of a low fence free range Hardeman county ranch that I visited over the holiday weekend. There was a 50/50 split when it came to the age of the buck. I was on the 4.5 yo side of the discussion and would love to hear what the opinions are here on the GS. I know the pics aren't the best for determining age but it's all I have to go off of. Thanks for looking.

I can’t decide either. But regardless if it was 4.5 or 5.5, it needed to be shot. Unless they have a 5.5 or older lease rule.

It is extremely difficult to judge age on the hoof, and virtually impossible off those pics. I would say anywhere 4.5-6.5 based off those pics

No way to make an educated guess from those pics

Thanks guys. I know it's really hard to age from pics especially with no TC pics of him before the LDPs. There is not a 5.5 year old minimum on the ranch so no problem there. Several of the guys were thinking 3.5 which is why I wanted more opinions.

I wouldn't doubt it one bit if he wasn't just 3.5 big body deer up there !

no way to be accurate but I will give it a stab

Young - middle aged buck (no younger than 2 1/2 and no older than 4 1/2)

so difficult to say, but I lean towards younger based on those pictures.
