Used to frequent Japan & China for work. I've never turned down a single dish...including half the crap I couldn't identify

When I went to Honduras, we stayed at a place that had no menu. We ate whatever the cooks fixed. No choice. Besides the dog and monkey, there is no telling what we had.

It’s sakura or sakuraniku. The sakura means "cherry blossom", niku means "meat" because of its pink color.

A little chewy but OK. Followed by wooden cup fulls of saki.

I don't eat any nasty stuff. Too much good stuff out there.

About the nastiest stuff I have ever eaten is fried oysters(love them) and frog legs(love them too).

Negative on third world street food.

In the mountains of Peru they eat guniea pigs (cuuy). They taste like a greasy skinny chicken.

Shrimp flavored chip from a Vietnamese guy at work. They were nasty.
Same guy wanted me to try some duck blood soup that his wife made but I couldn’t bring myself to try it.
He knew where all the good pho restaurants were.
