Wood arrows - 1st batch - what a learning experience - not too bad

Well I did it - 6 new ebony stained cedar(I hope) 11/32 shafts with 125 gr points - 48# spine and all weigh in at 461 gr +/- 8 gr, finished and tested today(recommend you wait longer for tip glue to dry than 15-20 minutes - hmm.
I am pretty pleased - enough to know more will be forthcoming - walnut stain maybe on next batch.

Use hot melt glue its dry as soon as you dip in water and is easy to adjust the point when it gets knocked around

OK getting the hang of this - really enjoyed the building process - as much if not more than reloading bullets which I find therapeutic for me -

I fletched up a few today also. It is a good way to spend your time if you need a break while shooting. It may take me a week to fletch a dozen arrows but the quality has improved from not trying to rush things.

You are well on your way to having too many arrows. Trust me on that.

Yes I can relate - as I slowed down things definitely improved - you don"t have an automatic Port Orford Cedar shaft making machine for sale by chance do ya - lololol

Those look just fine, and you shoot them very well!

So well, in fact, I would should one at a time so you don't mess them up! Nice group!

Good point and great idea - better for consistent form that way too I bet - thanks

More arrows - this is addictive...lol

OK got the remaining 6 finished now just have to find some more broadheads - out of my bear razorheads - they are getting spendy - may go with Zwickey - emailed Magnus and they don't have any glue-on versions.
Also finished my first batch of Flu Flus - not bad for a rookie - really like how they shoot and the whistling or air rushing by is cool - pretty accurate too at this 15-20 yds anyway.
Now lets see if I can get the pics to attach
