Here is another buck for age discussion. Again this won't determine the deers fate.
Let me know what you see and why if you don't mind. We all agree on this one but still good for conversation.

Without knowing y'alls body types out there...I would lean on a 4 year old from those pics.

He has a younger look to me.

Even with history it still gets hard guessing age off a look at times. I've been wrong many times. Lol

I would call him a 5 yr old. Long and lanky without a lot of brisket below his elbow joint on the front legs. Pointed hindquarters also more of a 5 yr old.

Not wanting to argue with anyone, but long and lanky without much brisket suggest younger then 5. Brisket develops typically with age. As does a much fuller body. Hard to really get any sort of definitive answer from the picks, but he appears to have a reasonably straight back and agree with the above that he has a younger look. Most deer that I have seen look older by 5, and not quite as fresh appearance. The most age I would give him would be 4. Again just my opinion and it matters not.

Where is water valley?

Between San Angelo and Sterling City. North west of San Angelo.

I used to hunt out that way. Good country, especially if you have some water running through your property.
